Ok so i want to create a long animation, i make it 100 frames aevery 10 frames i decide to move the head a bit, to make a smooth head movement. I play it back and the head gets thrown around in a 360 spin. if i move the pelvis at all the body gets up and spins in the air.....
er why????

if you are waiting 10 frames to move a body part... well thats what you are doing wrong IMO... I am no poser pro, but when I want something to look smooth, I move it slightly in each frame..

My best guesses are this:
The head spinning might caused by a rapidly changing spline or an accidental wrap around of the neck angle. Look at the spline under "graph" and look at the key frames to see why it's varying. Also, make sure you're not rotating the neck past 180 deg. If you want to have an AV look left and right, you have to set the neck angle first to 25 deg and then -25 deg -- not 25 deg and 385 deg. Instructions for looking at the spline using a graph can be found in this forum with a search.
Leaping up into the air could be due to the same spline problem or because "inverse kinematics" with the legs are on. With inverse kinematics on, the program will lock the feet in place and try to solve for the leg positions. Sometimes it can lead to twirling of body parts.
Anyway, the key is to look at the graph and check out your spline and key frames.
