Somthing weird happened with Sitting Anis

.

ive been making various Ani-Poses with Avimator ...

i noticed *today*, all of a sudden, all of my *sitting* anis
are now hovering approximately 3 hands high
over the ground, benches, ledges and walls ... wherever i feel like sitting.

i never had this problem before

i am very picky about my anis ... i spend a lot of time making sure
that they dont hover ... and that the body lines and parts
are as perfectly horizontal and level as possible ... using Avimator ...

but strangely today they all are hovering ...

my standing poses are all ok ...
but i now have to revise all of my sitting ani-poses to a lower setting ...

im just wondering if anyone else has noticed any difference in levels
and hovering of sitting poses?

and if so, how come?

thnx

ps ...
yesterday i bought a couple of animations.

not in my wildest imagination can i possibly see how
buying someone elses animations would somehow
effect and compromise the ones i made ...

or could they?

******************

also ... most of the time when i make anis, i first upload my poses
to the Preview Grid to try them out ... and to make the necessary
adjustments with Avimator offline.

i mention this, if just in case there can be differences between levels
between the Preview and Main Grid?

You aren't by chance using the Firstlook client are you? I've been using Firstlook and I've noticed the same thing on occasion. Not sure if it's related.

I believe I am experiencing the same issue with a set of couch sitting poseballs I purchased a while ago from Bits and Bobs. (Not disparaging the store, I love the animations they sell, just mentioning it in case it's relevant.) At the time I positioned them so I and my gf were properly seated on my couch and everything was fine but ever since the last SL client update (and yes, I'm using the official SL client) this particular poseball set now has both of us sitting in the air above the couch. At no point had the poseballs themselves been moved or altered, indeed I had to edit the settings notecard within them just to lower them back to something approaching normal.

In various scripts, I have seen adjustments up and down labeled with

// Adjust for Sit bug.

Maybe they fixed it...So old scripts that adjust for it now over compensate.

ok ...

i just deleted everything i originally wrote yesterday, Thursday,
in response to Lee Ponzu's comment ...

now why did i do that, you ask? ...

simply becos the whole issue i raised in this thread,
has mysteriously and suddenly become a non-issue,
just as suddenly and mysteriously it became an issue 11 days ago ...

what i am talking about is, that today Friday,
the levels on SL's Main Grid and the Preview Grid
seemed to have returned to their previous levels ...

which means now, that all of my *original* ani-poses
that i created with Avimator & QAvimator, as well as those ive purchased
are now and once again conforming to SL ground levels
just as they had before ... w00t!

nevertheless ...
something weird did happen with animations and ground levels
11 days ago, but they arent happening anymore ...

so what does all this mean?

im not really sure.

was it all in my animated imagination, that my animations
were strangely hovering over the ground, as if i were truly
in a mystical alien realm, merely due to a glitch or tampering
by LL with ground levels?

or, was it due to subconscious, wishful and fantisful thinking on my part?

now why do i ask that, you might ask?

to answer that, would only serve to give too much validation
to other essentially non-issues

anyway ... in my little world, i am happy my little animations
are working again, since i dont have to needlessly
revise them anymore.

ya know, Second Life is just like Real Life,
but only worse.

so far ... here on earth, gravity has remained constant
