Flying airplanes

Ok...two things before I ask the question.

1. I am new so please don't laugh at me.
2. I understand that this may be the wrong forum for what I am asking.

The question:

Is their something special I have to do in order to be able to fly an airplane? I went into the right click menus and I saw something that said take off, however, when i clicked it nothing happened.

Hi Far,
This depends on whether you've bought or built an airplane..

They need a script to fly basically.. Most planes that you buy come with a script, and you right click the plane and choose fly or pilot to fly and you'll sit in it and be able to use the arrow and page up/down keys to fly..

If you've built a plane you'll need to get a script to put inside. Theres a free one created by a linden somewhere.. Yaha found it... /15/50/7134/1.html

Will probably need some tweaking to suit your specific plane..

The "take off" option you reffer to probably happened when you right clicked you avatar, it deals with taking off clothes and attachments..
