Just recently when i put a sitting animation into an AO under sittting (sitting on a prim NOT ground sit) and then test it, the ao doesnt play anything on the lower half of the body wether it be an animation or a static pose. any suggestions?

It may be that the animation or poses you're using don't have a high enough priority to override the sitting animation like that. I think the only way to fix it would be to re-upload the animation with a higher priority.. which isn't possible if you didn't make the animation.
At least that's the best I know of it all.
