I am able make cloths and wear them by copying the imported texture to my shirt. What I have not been able to figure out is how to create a shirt that can be worn directly. Please Help

This seems to have wandered a little far from animation, but that's OK =)

You have two options.

1. Take off any shirt you are wearing, and then edit appearance will give you a Create New Shirt button to play with. slap on your textures and save it.

2. In your inventory window, explore the Create menu, you can make a blank template there, wear it, then edit it the usual way.

By the way, there is a texturing forum here too, that's a good spot if you have more questions about this stuff. Good luck!
