I know there's a thread somewhere about this issue but can't find it anymore.
What I want is that avatars move slowly into a sitting pose on my furniture. I tried adjusting Time in and Time out to larger values, but that doesn't work so good. You see an avatar move slowly first, but then jump suddenly into the real sit pose and that looks pretty awkward.
If I remember correct, I should make a special animation for in between, is that true? Could someone tell me what kind of animation/pose that should be and how to apply it well? Also what kind of script to use? Thanks in advance!

You could use Poser or Qavimator to make an animation that starts standing facing the seat, and moves to seated position, where it then loops. (Note that as usual with a multi-frame anim in SL, in the first or "key" frame, you need to move all joints that you'll be moving later in the animation. grrr.)
Of course, when sitting, an av would quickly jump from where they are to where they stand in the first frame of the anim, but after that it would be however smooth as the anim is.
Note that when uploading, you have to set the parameters correctly for it to loop at the right point. I haven't done this, so I can't help you with the details. So far I've only made static poses.
You wouldn't need a special script.

When you upload an animation you have the option of setting in and out percentages for the section to loop. You just have to try them and see - watch the preview and keep adjusting the percentages until you loop through the frames you want.

I tried that Deira. In preview it looks good. And even when I play the animation stand-alone (double-click in inventory) it is okay. But once I put it in a poseball it seems to start moving slow, but then suddenly jumps to the actual sit pose.
