Im desperate for some poses for facial close ups were the model ie: me looks direct into the camera or the eyes follow the camera position.
Can ANYONE point me in the direction of any?

Got a range of skins I need to make display pics for and no matter how hard I try her eyes are slightly different to the other photos which looks bad

If you know of a place or indeed sell these kind of poses yourself please can you send me a Land mark in world or a URL if their on SLX or SLB

Thanks

Rez a prim and position it at the point you want the avie to look, have the avie ALT-Click on the prim and they will look towards it. This is the only real way to control where an avie is looking for photo purposes.

Even if you lock down the head and neck, the eyes are based on the camera and there is nothing we can do about.

How I fix it for my ads is I alt zoom with the cursor on the tip of my nose.

Cheers

If your avatar is still moving its head (or any other body part) after setting it, you didn't do it right. Each point on the avatar must have at least one of X, Y, or Z moved at least a bit or it will not stay still. Leaving the X,Y,Z on 0 tells SL you aren't using that body part and that it is free for use.

Don't know if this helps any:
Make a transparent object, sphere with transparent texture, (don't lose it!). Alt-cam on the sphere and view 'through' the sphere. The av will look directly at the cam, (kinda weird at first).
You can even zoom in, on anywhere, not just avvie.

Maybe this technique could be used in combo with moving prims.

I put these in my store but slightly yellow and call it a "Cam-Ball" for "Cam-Crusing" the shop.

moving prims and transparent ball is your real answer - but not the only one.
the best way to ensure that you get the eyes to look in the camera while not being restricted what angle to use to take the photo is not to take it yourself but hire a photographer.
photographer will be able to direct your eyes with the prim while being free to take a photo in the best way that it would suit your display.
taking photo yourself restricts either where your eyes are looking or what angle you are able to take a shot from since when you ALT click on the "eye ball" you will not be able to move camera easily

Try making a pair of prim eyes slighty bigger than the real ones? Attach them to the nose so they cover the real eyes, then you wont see the eyes moving behind them.

Never tried it, but it sounds like it should work.
