I've done an animation that basically slides down a rope, and, thanks to a previous post it works! BUT.... how do I get it to go further than the length of the animation (previous post explained about moving the hips and thats great for 196frames) and how do I get it to stand up where it stopped rather than go back to the beginning?

When an animation moves you in SL you don't really move. Try playing a dance animation or even your rope descent animation and take a look at the position coordinates at the top of the screen. They don't move. So when the animation stops you end up right back where you started. You cannot lengthen the sliding down the rope animation and you can't stop and land at the bottom. You cannot vary the distance you slide unless you modify the animation itself.

So can it be done? Click on a rope and slide down any length and then land when reaching the bottom. I think it would have to be done through scripting.
