Ok, noob question.
Is an animation overide a collection of animations that are placed into an item, and with the help of a script, activate them when the appropriate action/movement takes place?

Yep, that's right.... it's a collection of anims that replace the default ones for walk, stands, flying, etc. They go in an object, along with a script, and the object is worn as either an attachment or a HUD. (The free ZHAO anim override HUD is excellent.) The script replaces the default anims at the correct times. The anims are generally sold in sets, with or without the object, or you can buy separate ones and put together a set. Hope that helps!
