Hi,
I am a complete newbie and still trying to grasp the language.
Bascilly I am trying to upload a avatar shape that I can use with SL.
I have Poser 7 and DAZ
Is there a basic tutorial on creating your own avatar. SL I think refers to this as "shapes" and after composing a "shape" on Poser or DAZ how is this uploaded to SL and what file format should this be.
Is this "shape" an animation or what? Thoroughly confused.

"Shapes" have nothing to do with animation, and thus your question is in the wrong forum. At any rate, you cannot edit your shape in an external tool, only using the Appearance Editor within SL.
