I am able to open the program, but then its frozen. It will take several minutes for me to move a slider but then its just random. I have no idea when this started, it was working fine for a while. I did upgrade to Quicktime Pro and had some issues with that. could that be part of the problem? I also recently updated my Nvidia drivers and uninstalled QAvimator and reinstalled it - same thing. Please help?
(Windows XP Home, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+, 2GB RAM, NVidia GeForce 7800GS 512MB (AGP), MSI K9MM-V Socket AM2)

it could be your drivers, the same thing happened to me when i changed video card, although it wasnt as extreme as you. i noticed it was slower and more glitchy then before. however i have no idea how to fix this :(

same thing. This is annoying, seriously. I have now upgraded my system to:

Windows XP Home, ASUSM2N-VN DVI, MSI nx GeForce 8600GT, 4g RAM and I'm on cable Modem

STILL Qavimator freezes as soon as I load it. it takes about 3 minutes for 1 increment to take effect. The drivers are new, the system has been cleared by professionials, I have no bugs, I swear.

Is there some button I'm NOT pushing to make this program work? I miss Qavimator a lot - it used to work for me and I used to teach it in all of our classes but now that phase is over until this issue is resolved.

Please help?

Me too

I too have found that QAvimator no longer works. It did a while back ago and I have made no updates to my system (windows xp pro). I assume that a windows update has screwed something up. This is a pain too as I have a need for several animations in a new business venture. I am not sure QAvimator is even being supported any more. At least I haven't seen and responses in its forums.

I had this problem too w/ the latest ATI video card drivers (as of 2/28/08). QAvimator would stutter like a beast and freeze, it was annoying. But I needed updated drivers to keep the Windlight Client happy.

I found this version:8.471.0.0 for my ATI Radeon 1650x works great w/ WL and w/ QA.

Hope this helps someone.

I have the same problem with qAvimator, but only my new Intel Mac running Leopard, I've had to go back to Avimator, which (while a little less stable) runs fairly consistently.
