Not enough on the backside

I've been here over a year so I've seen many people in second life, naturally. The females look much better then the males for different reasons. One being there's way more of them and they also have access to more items as far as dressing up as well as a few others.
But the one thing I've noticed is most females and I mean the large majority seem to only concentrate their looks on their breasts and nothing else. You see them all with large breasts but no booty and no thighs. It's like they're large on top but as they go down, their bodies look flat and disportionate to their bodies.
I see this as a man that I am and with the knowledge men like women with some meat, with a nice booty and thighs to go along with it. Not flat with skinny legs and no butts like you see on most females now.
A pretty face is not enough ladies. If you had 2 females both with pretty faces but one with no body and the other with a nice body, who do you think most men would go after?
Now, I'm not trying to stir up anything on races but you can usually tell a hispanic or black female just by looking at her shape. Men will always look at a female and other then her looks he likes seeing a nice body to go along with it.
C'mon, ladies, get with it!

Interesting. I have a friend who put a lot of work into her shape. It's not really voluptuous. She went for more of a girl next door look. But she paid attention to her backside and her legs, too. It seems to have worked; she gets compliments regularly.
One thing I find amusing, though, is she's mentioned a couple of times the huge booties some of the women seem to be dragging around. And the only comments people have made to her about changing her shape was to increase the size of her backside to be more like theirs. I guess they balance out all of the avs that don't have anything back there.

Some men, I for one, prefer no hippy "secretary spread" and a nicely shaped but not over-sized bubble tush. I'm very surprised you evidently don't realize "there's something for everyone," and that your personal preferences are exactly that: personal preferences. [Edit] 'Ya know, methinks this thread is in the wrong forum insofar as it has naught to do with (creating) animation.

What relevance does any of this have to Animation Tips? There are more appropriate forums for this topic and posting it here does not get it seen by anyone that would possibly benefit from it.

It has a lot to do as this forum is for 'tips" on animation which covers shapes and looks. And people come here to see what they can learn and give tips on creating.
But then I can see what you're saying in maybe not too many will see it here. I did check to see where to put this but there really isn't a place for views or comments and this being a place where creativity comes to play I then decided to place it here.
And you're right, this is my preference but for the most part most men like the shapely look, the even look if you will. I know I do and for the most part females get complimented a whole lot more when they're nice and shapely. I'm not talking about over doing it or having an exaggerated look, just having enough in all the right places is it.

Shapes and looks have nothing to do with making animations. No idea how anyone could even come to that conclusion. Resident answers would have been the better choice.

Whatever! Here, there, wherever. Point was made and obviously answered so that's all that matters.

i saw you post while looking for something else and thought i should let you know .... shape DOES have a lot to do with animation, because if as a woman you decide not to be what seems to be the standard 2m tall skinny chick with no butt and no thighs, then many many animations in SL look RIDICULOUS .... lol
some should have a height warning : ONLY USE WITH FRIENDS WHO ARE THE SAME HEIGHT AS YOU UNLESS YOU WANT TO FALL DOWN LAUGHING ....

I actually have two shapes I use... One is what I consider "normal" proportions. They are very much like my actual shape... And in slacks I look great... But in most dresses my butt looks like the back end of a bus! Something in the way dresses fit makes my butt look huge! So I have a second shape I wear just for dresses... Now I have a pretty rare copy/mod no transfer shape, so I can do this... But most shapes are no mod so the designers often made the hips/butt a bit small to look good in a dress..
Bottom line is what you may be seeing is women want to look good in their clothes, so they keep things toned down a bit so they look good in a dress or skirt.... Because no woman wants to see her butt look huge... *laughs*
