I made some juggling equipment (balls, rings, and clubs) in Second Life, and would like to be able to have my avatar juggle them. Could anyone help me out?

You might try asking RacerX Gullwing: that sort of thing sounds right up his alley. (Ask to see his card trick). He may even already have juggling stuff that I don't know about.

I could do the avatar movements easily enough; I just don't know how to animate objects. Can someone point me to a guide on doing this?

Just yesterday I too decided that my current #1 goal is to make my avatar the master juggler I am (:D) Ill keep an eye on this thread to see how it turns out, I dont know how to animate objects or my avatar. Perhaps we could meet somewhere and discuss it sometime in game?

I'll go back to modelling juggling equipment, its what I can do so far.

I juggle particles,
I have an animation that looks like I'm flinging something pretty fast, I can tie it to a gesture. With animated attachments all you need is a simple spin script and 4 balls one clear and 3 colored and shape them into a Y and make the clear one the one in the middle and make that the main prim. Drop a rotation script in that, attach it to your av's torso. Play your animation and I think it would be close enough to make most people go wow.

Prim animations, other than a simple rotation, gets very difficult. If I were going to do it, I might try to make a simple animation using several different textures with alpha (like a GIF animation). It would look flat, but you could make the prim animation truer to actual juggling than just rotating that way (jugglers know that the balls dont go in a circle, its more of a braiding pattern). The hard part is syncing the avatar animation with the prim animation. Id be intrested in how it turns out though, I want to do something similar, linking an avatar animation with a nunchaku thats moves between hands (you should see the lag my physics "chain" generates, heh).
