Poser 7 Deformation

When I build a pose in Poser 7 then begin to animate it, I change the frame, move the body part then add the keyframe. When I move the slider, the body starts to deform instead of doing a smooth transition between the areas.

Would I get around this by moving every body part on every key frame?

Check if you have IK (Inverse Kinematics) turned on - this could have this effect.

Also, make sure you have broken spline on Frame 2.

Sorry for my rather stupid question, but how do I keep the broken spline on Frame 2. I'm used to making animations, it's just I am totally new to Poser 7.

Open up the animation grid - key symbol at bottom right of screen. I think it says "Edit Key Frames" or something like that when you hover over it. A window should open with a grid display - frames going along horizontal and figures and body parts on the vertical axis.

Get to the top of the animation grid and select all of Frame 2 (click on dotted line at the top).

Now click the "Break Spline" button - this is at the top left with the set of buttons for Linear (brown), Splinal (green) and Constant (grey). It has a ~ symbol on it.

Frame 2 should now show every cell in the column that has been animated with a / symbol in it.

Poser defaults to splinal interpolation and this causes problems with animating for SL because in SL you have to start with the T-pose in Frame 1. Frame 1 is ignored in SL, but, of course, it is not ignored in Poser. Unless you break the spline, Poser will try and move your figure from the T-pose in frame 1 to whatever you have done in Frame 2 - usually with some very bizarre results.
