question on a animation

i am new to SL and have been building a storm the question i am asking on i believe deals in this area
is a magicianess and is tring to do a headless illusion where i have a purse of my head has found a freebie head and done a realy need job with doing the illusion of it
has a animation made with qanimator i believe was the one i used it flips the neck and head inside me and then has the head shrunk so to fit inside with out showing throu , has a collar that i use with the animation inside it set to permission lvl 4, this here is where i think the problem might fall in to.
now it looks amazing and on the basic walk it works i can walk around headless. but add every walk i have found to make a nice walk instead of the default ( sorry Linden lab but that default doesn't look right) and the head flips back up as i walk then down once i stop
the question i am asking is there a way to set the head to a higher permission i think it is or to be able to keep it on with another permission of the same lvl also running
as i said only just under 60 days old and is self taught all this 3d stuff is new to me, so forgive me if i ask a stupid question or am not in the know please any advice would help alot to be able to get this working right

zilvara short Hi zilvara - welcome to SL and the forum  I think your problem must be one of animation priorities. The priority of the nice walk animation is higher or the same as that of the headless animation. When an animation is uploaded to SL, a priority can be set for it using values 1 - 4. (1 being low and 4 high.) All the default animations have a priority and they can be overriden by one of a higher priority. When animations of the same priority are running, then the latest one will run. I think you need to be clear about exactly what priorities the animations you want to use are set to, and then re-upload if needed. It might be that you need a lower priority walk over-ride rather than a higher priority headless animation. Hope this helps and good luck

the head animation i set to lvl 4 it is in the collar
the problem is i am unable to find a lower walk animation lvl is there a way to take a existing animation and lower it priority OR add a animation walk in to the collar to get it to work with the headless animation
is not sure if i can find a off line animation walk to add to SL with a upload if anyone knows where i might find one
if i can find a offline one i could upload it anduse that
Another question i might ask as i am working on this project and it came up is there a way to add a deforming to the collar so to say add a head shrink to it so to not have to alter your avatar so anyone could use it with there shape they have

Why not use the same thing other "headless" avatars use, an invisiprim? That way anyone can use it and they'll see it work properly even when they dance or do other things that have the animation priorities set too high as well!

acauly that was my first one but it breaks anytime you pass a wall tinited or that and tried to get the invisable prim to stay on the head for when i walk cut can't get it to comform close enough to the skin if i could i would just make the skin head that color the invs type but one can't do that

Since invisiprims don't hide other prims, could your collar cover where it doesn't meet?  Yes, invisiprims don't look quite right by alpha textures, but we are so used to seeing that glitch on everyone's shoes on dance floors that nobody is bothered, while a head popping up out of the pose when sitting or dancing or doing other things would probably totally ruin the effect?

the collar covers the top of the base of the neck great but with the shrinking it it small but still sticks WAY up the head and neck together are fliped down as a single unit and before you ask if that could be the reason it still buggers up with the animation as the neck which is flip unflips so it still over rides and isn't the head alone fliping up
the lindens are missing whom communities that would love to do illusions like this
the inv prims as i said i can't get it close enought to the head so when folded in the body to not show throu the body as the shrunken head is tighten enought in there
if i was a mussle bound barrel chested male maybe it wouldn't be a problem but is a small lady and not that thick in body build
idea forms as i notice i can get a shoe animation for walking that means it must also have a walking animation if i can take that out it might be lvl 4 also but is there a way to put it in a order so to have the headless one over right it like the walk does to it like do i need to put it in a order or that
would that be a possible work around???????????????????

Try looking up the profiles for these animation makers Johan Durant, Grafikimon Oh, and Ariane Brodie and see if they have a store. From a previous thread they were indicated to have level 3 priority walks available.

OOOHH thank you alot that should help greatly
if not anyone know if that plan for combining the 2 lvl 4's in to the collar would work if there is a way to put them in a order so the headless over rides in if it is in the first or second place would work if it is the same item

So you want to know if you can put the lvl 4 headless animation and a lvl 4 walking animation together? Possibly. You will have to take an AO and look at the scripts inside it. I would imagine that if you did it that way the AO would have to start the headless animation every time the walk animation starts. You may want to post in the scripting tips forum for more help on this one.
