Anyone know where I can get a copy of this (free or pay for) bvh file? I want to make a few alterations to it for use in a project but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Thanks.

If you're using Poser, use the walk generator.

Thanks Issues. Thats what I ended up doing once I found it. I didn't realize that poser had that in it.

I actually made one of these from scratch last week. Wasn't too hard, just had to swing the hips back and forth. The hardest part was figuring out what to do with the arms.

It was pretty easy to do .. of course having the correct tool is half the work.

You can also make a decent walk relatively easily in Avimator if you set the bones right. Just takes some practice and attention to detail.

Usually with most people who walk: If the left leg moves back, then the hips turn slightly back. Then the left arm goes forward with a slight turn in the waist/torso or upper torso/sternum (However you like to phrase it.) and possibly shoulder if needed. Then to keep this post short: Inverse that with the right.

If that doesn't help someone figure it out all I can suggest is to stand up from where you're sitting, pay attention to your movements, and walk across the room.

Just a good way to remember how to move the arms and legs is to break the movement down by sides instead of parallel bones. Get one side done and you can figure out the other side pretty easy.

Poser walk generator is just a shortcut. :)
