I am working on my own poses, and eventually animations, such as AO's. I am having trouble finding information about pose balls. Is there a way to take the poses I upload as .bvh and make them into pose balls? Or, are pose balls just scripting? Thanks.

A poseball is a scripted object with an animation in it. Bascially, it is scripted so that when someone sits on it, it plays the animation. You create your animation in Poser or Avimator or whatever, upload the bvh, put both it and a poseball script in a ball.

There are poseballs scripts available (no time to look for links right now, but they're easy to find) that you just put in the contents of the ball.
