For those with a large RL animation library, how do you keep your library organized and under control?

By RL animation library, I assume you mean .bvh files or whatever, on your computer.
I have folders based on "projects" where I get an idea and work with it. In addition, I keep folders for things like the following:
- upright sits - relaxed sits (leaning back) - ground sits (legs stretched out, not necessarily just for ground) - couples versions of the above
Some projects include sequences of poses, where I can set up a poseball set with a number of animations for each participant. Each sequence is in its own folder.
Other projects are things like for a party, where I have a number of different animations working together (ok, a particular kind of party ...)
I separate M vs. F by name, not by folder.
I find I re-use many of the animations in a set for other purposes, leading to great confusion later (because the names no longer match the purpose). But, that's life.
That seems to work for me. I have about 150 anims in all.

I break my stuff into two sections - poses and animations. Every animation starts with a static pose and I frequently go back and use the same starting pose for different animations. When I get a "final" on something I rename it to describe the animation, the furniture piece I built it for and NEVA. I always know my final versions by the NEVA. It is amazingly easy to turn your animations folder into a nightmare unless you stay on top of organizing (learned that the hard way.)
