Hi, I work at a university where we are potentially starting a project using motion capture data from a kinesiology lab to convert for use in SL for education purposes. We've done some preliminary testing using the mocap rig and Vicon Blade to process and convert the data.
I'm looking to talk to animators who have experience in this type of data conversion to see if what we want to do is possible, and also to see how much they would charge to work on our particular project.
Thanks for any help, and if I need to post this elsewhere, just let me know.

Animazoo and Akeyo are two stores that sell mocap animations. They do a fine job.

HRJ To import mocap animations into SL you can look for BVHacker too, developed mostly to normalize BVH mocap files. The developer (don't remember his name) is involved in Animazoo too so he could be a good reference in mocap animations.

You need to get your data converted to bvh format before you can import into SL. You may also need to adjust it to fit the SL avatar using external software such as Maya or Poser.
BVHacker can help you with some conversion issues, but you will still need to test the result as there are many variables that can come into play with an animation destined for SL. However, provided you can get your mocap data into bvh, you can almost certainly get it to work in SL.
