hello world,

I know you can override the typing animation by typing /0 before anything you say...but that gets fustrating after a bit. My girlfriends wears an a/o and doesnt type at all.

How is the typing animation overridden on a permenant basis and also is it possible to replace it with something else? I have seen the magic spellbooks where people scribble with a pen instead of type.

My question is : how are these things achieved?

thank you!

BTW I am terrible with scripts so if you have anything to show would be great!

I sell typing overrides where the default animation is replaced with a new one. The script is based on a freebie I got off slx, heavily modified. Indeed, the freebie didn't refer to animation at all, but it did show me how to detect when a person is typing. Look at free items on slx and just page through until you find the keyboard thingy.

All you need is an over-ride animation. The AO your gf wears is likely not-typing due to her AO animations being set to a higher priority (most likely 3) than the standard type animation (2). If you're interested in scripts that will help you work out alternate animations, the Franimation Override is:

1--Free
2--Open Source
3--Widely Available
4--The "base" for just about every commercial AO I can think of in SL.
