I am using Poser 5, and I am trying to upload a pose that requires the avi to be lying on their belly. However, when I go to upload the pose into SL, the avi is vertical, but it looks like it should in Poser. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did some research on the forums to see if others were having the same problem, and I found that some did, but I don't understand what it means to rotate or position the hips. I tried that, and it didn't change anything, that is if I did it right. LOL Still trying to get used to using the poser software, as I am new with it. I have successfully uploaded other poses that are just standing, but having a lot of trouble with the lying on the belly thing. Another issue I am having is with the standing poses. When I upload a standing pose, the avi is slighly slanted. Any way to correct that as well.

A little background:
I am using the SL avatar in my Poser 5 when creating poses.
I do know how to export and upload into SL.

Just don't understand the issues I stated. Any help would be great. Thanks a bunch.

Sounds like you moved the full body instead of the hips. Sl doesnt read the body changes just the different parts. Put the body back to 0 for all roation values in the paramters box. Then turn off inverse kinetics. Figure drop down menu -> inverse kinetics. Click on the hips and use the sliders in the paramters window to move the avie into the postion you want.

Also just to make sure, keep frame 1 as the default and do all your work on frame 2. If you've changed frame 1 then one of the drop down menus has 'restore' then another menu comes up and choose 'figure'.

For the leaning bit: make sure the body is a 0 for all roation values and check that you arent leaning in poser. Rotate the camera around the avie and look at the lines for the ground. Its sort of hard to see if you are leaning sometimes.

Still having problems

Hello. I did everything you stated....all rotation values are at 0 in the parameters box, the xTran, yTran, and zTran are also all at 0. The xScale, yScale, and zScale are all at 100%. Is there anything that needs to be changed in there? The avi looks like it should in Poser 5, and that's laying on the belly. However, when I attempt to upload into SL, the avi still turns out vertical, rather than lying down on the back. Thanks again.

Also, im looping the 2 frames, doing all my work in frame 2, and setting the priority to 4 when uploading. Thanks.

All of the rotation values for the 'body' are at zero while to make the avie laying down are from rotations of the hips?

Yeah, i have the cirlce around the body at all rotations of 0. Is there a tutorial or something tha tcould walk me through step by step on how to make ur avi perform a laying down pose? I must not be understanding something correctly. Thanks.
