I keep seeing ads for custom dances and animations, what exactly does that mean? Maybe what I'm thinking is way off base.

I would assume it means u think of an animation u want and they make it for you.

Custom gestures/animations/dances refer to user created content, instead of built in animations. For example, a dance machine that contains custom animations does not use the stock dances built into the game. The terminology was originally used by LL in describing the feature of user created animations, and it has kind of stuck.

I agree with Cris here... but that leaves me in a hard spot too, because I do custom animations... meaning at the request of someone else.. and custom made to thier liking... how would we differ the two?

Yeah, I think that's what I'm confused about. When I use the term custom, I'm talking about animations I've created for someone. Oh well, at least I know what the other meaning is now lol.

Sounds like to me either one is a Custom Animation whether you are making it "special" (do you ever make one that ISN'T special? ) for someone else or they make it for themselves. Both are custom jobs.
