Animations Event - Subtle Gestures Scripting Challenge

Ever wanted to flash a great SL smile? Give an annoyed head nod? Pull an eye twitch out of your inventory? Or throw out an object to really express what you mean?

Come to the Subtle Gestures Scripting Challenge to script or build animations/objects to help your avatar express him/her/itself.

When: Sunday, Nov. 6, 1-3 p.m.
Where: Biloxi (126,195)
What: Game/contest

Master Scripters & Builders:
Compete with other experts to create new gestures!

Curious Beginners:
Come, watch and learn from the masters!

Contestants have two hours to complete their script or object (or you can come with yours already started) - then our judges will try it out.

The winning script(s)/object(s) will be copied and circulated around SL - with your name on your winning creation.

I MUST SAY THIS IS A FANTASTIC IDEA!

Being someone who is body language-obsessed in here (for educational purposes too) I look forward to seeing what comes of this. Would be nice to have a widely-distro'ed pack of all the anims... and I wonder what it would be like if was not just the winner, but a whole magnificent collection. Would sure open a lot of eyes, generate smiles, etc.

Subtlety is hard to do with avatar animations.

I missed this event, and now I'm wondering: just what is a gesture, anyway? A BVH file with some associated WAV file? How do I make one?
