AO does not "kick in" after teleporting

I have created a basic "crunch and move underground" animation to replace the normal avatar with an abstract object. Then I have uploaded the animation as a loop with priority 4. The animation works generally well in an (either ZHAO-II or Franimations) AO. The avatar behaves as expected: Crunched into a small ball a few metres underground.

The only problem is: The AO does not "kick in" after teleporting. Instead the avatar keeps on waddling around using the default "duck walk" until I stop and restart the AO.

Now I believe that it is a problem with the animation, because if I replace it with any other animation (e.g. out of a freebie package) in the AO, this other animation is indeed started after teleporting. It's just with my animation that it does not work. Also, the behaviour is the same using different AOs.

Is this a SL bug or am I doing something wrong here?

EDIT> Unfortunately, due to "a slight problem with the SL Forums database", I cannot upload the BVH here. I can send it in-world in a NC. Just IM me.

Is it priority 4? I had problems with my avatar reverting to the default anims for a split second until I re-uploaded it to priority 4.

Yes, it is definitely priority 4, also looping.

Anyway, I've now added this to the relevant ticket on JIRA:
