I am using Daz studio to make some animations one of which is a crouching animation. Now when I first made it since everything rotated around the hips I pulled the feet up and the head down. Got everything set and did the animation. And the animation looks great only problem is the AV looks to hover in the air as the feet actually go up and the head goes down. So I was like ok I leave the feet on the floor and drag everything else down to them. Problem solved! Nope. Now when imported the animation causes all but the AV's head to dissapear below ground. Anyone have any idea how to make it like the AV is standing on the ground?

There are old posts that suggest a typical vertical offset, but to get it perfect it has to be exactly right for your avatar. You are on the right track, just keep moving the hip node up or down until it works. The beta grid allows limited free uploads (download the beta version from the SL web site), then when you have it right upload to the main grid.
