... the ones I have are aiming to do just what you want.
I checked out the three stand poses you have at Animation Universe, Dylan. They're very nicely done and reasonably priced so I bought all three. I look forward to using them although they're not really what I'm looking for: only one of the set is neck-free, for instance, which is important to me since I like to look directly at others while I'm talking to them.
Something else I should have mentioned is that I prefer copy/no transfer permissions because I maintain several HUDS for different situations. Perhaps you could offer the alternative as some animators do?

They are just basic non-moving stands.
Non-moving stands just don't work for me, Bree. Even the default stands in SL have motion in them. I guess they're easily dismissed because of the association with noobieness. Nevertheless the rise and fall of the avatar's chest was a deciding factor for me on my first day at Orientation Island. I stuck with Second Life because of that singular little detail.
Having made that point, the SL stands are still a little too active for my taste. To be more specific, I'd like a set of *really* subtle poses with smooth animation certainly but I envisage 'paint-drying' action here. Taking a breath, turning a foot *very* slightly outwards, a *slight* swing of an arm or perhaps an absentminded touch to a shirt or jacket button at the navel. I'd be happy with a set of 30 second animations that each did just one of those things and of course blended nicely together.
It isn't just a matter of moving an arm or a leg either: I would expect the shoulders to tilt slightly, the torso to have a little torsion as an arm bends. To give another example, weight should shift almost imperceptibly from one hip to another when a foot turns.
Folding arms would be acceptable - either across the chest or behind the back or even hands folded over one another like you might do at a funeral service. A gentle swing of the hips, perhaps rocking slightly on the balls of the feet would also work: the kind of things you might do when you have to stand still for an extended period of time.
In fact I've just realised that I'm thinking of just that: a set of poses for a very serious occasion.
