Edit someone else's appearance?

Hello,

it may be a silly question, but I could not find an answer to it:

Is there the possibility to grant someone the capability to modify one's own appearance for a limited time?
Allowing him to edit the own objects does not help.

There is some friend of mine whom I would like to help a bit with his appearance because he is not very talented to modify his ava to a good-looking guy that look similar to himself ;-)
And I do not talk about prim clothes or hair or things like this.
He wants, at least for a while, to go along mainly with the options that the default appearances and skins offer, and I believe one can already do a lot with them, perhaps with some additional tiny accesoires.

But sending him a skin and some clothes will probably not be enough, to me it seems that the appearance sliders for head, body, hair, eyes and so one cant be transferred.
Or am I wrong and only have not yet found the button?

Therefore, I am looking for an option to manage this for him without exchanging passwords.

Is there a chance for it?

yes Aggi, it is possible. i also did this for a friend when we first joined SL, and his av was looking a little on the pitiful side. what i did was saved the shape i was wearing myself, and *clearly* labelled it (you don't wanna lose it). then i went into my inventory, right clicked and selected the 'new shape' option. this creates a new basic shape in your inventory. if you right click on this item - and select 'properties' you should be able to set permissions to transfer. so now, you can right click this new shape, and select 'wear' and set about using the appearance sliders to create a custom avatar for your friend, on your own avatar's account. make sure you remember to check the 'male' box as well, in the basic settings options, as this gives the sliders different ranges. once you are happy with the results - put your original shape on again - transfer the new shape to your friend, and - hey presto - when he wears it, he will be totally transformed, as if by magic :-)
good luck with this - hope it is helpful to you.
