Hi! I have used the search function to the best of my ability, and all I can find is posts speaking of hip translation being the key to any positions such as laying down on your back or belly. I have rotated and moved the hips, yet still, when I upload my translation, it plays out as if the avatar were standing. I also have the 1st and 2nd frame marked as key frames. I've attached the BVH in the zip, and a picture of the previewed animation as a jpg. Please help!

The easiest way I get the aviator to lay is to first turn off "Inverse Kinematics" for the feet. In Poser 5 on the menu click 'Figure - Use Inverse Kinematics' then uncheck for both feet. Select the hips then use the 'pitch up - down' dial to roll yourself on back. A setting of -90 will put you flat on back. I usually push ctrl+g at this point to show ground plane. Then you can push ctrl+d to drop to floor. At this point it's usually easier to turn Inverse Kinematics back on for the feet and make your pose/animation. That's up to you though. Hope that helps you.

Thanks for the advice Corey. I was experimenting again this morning, and tried something different. I forgot to mention I was using the new avatar you can download from SL's site. Well, even with the hips back at -90, it would still act like it was standing. I tried the same thing with the P2 Casual Male and it appears to be working with this older model. Has anyone had this problem with the new SL poser model?

I use the downloadable SL thingy also. Following the method I explained I never had a problem making laying down type animations. I can work with you in game via IM if you like. I've learned a lot by trial and error and with the help of Chip and others in this forum. I will download your zip file now and see what if I can see what you're trying to do with it.
OK Just looked at your animation. First of all you should leave frame 1 in the default SL stance. You can move the head just a little in frame 1 to prevent that head bobbing effect SL has, but everything else leave the same. It looks like in frame 2 you didn't turn off inverse kinematics for the feet. Before you do anything in frame 2 make sure to turn that off. Then select the hips and set the pitch up - down to -90. At that point you can push ctrl+g to drop to the ground and reenable inverse kinematics (if you want). Sometimes that inverse thingy can be a pain in the ass. I just kept experimenting until things worked.
