Hiya

I just did a search on priorty, and didnt find anything that explaned it at all. What do each of the numbers mean?

What I want is to be able to move my head around in a custom animation - just like you do when you are sitting down. Is this possible?

-THX - Krikket

Priorities just decide what animation plays when two are playing at the same time.

If you play an animation that has a lower priority than one thats already playing, chances are you wont see it play at all, or at least it wont animate all the parts its supposed to.

If the animation you play has the same priority or higher than one thats already playing, it should play fine (there are exceptions, quite a bit actually heh)

As a note, none of the generic SL animations are above priority 2.

edit: Oh and to allow your head to move, just dont move it at all in the animation, SL sets the priority of a joint to -1 if it doesnt move at all between the 1st and 2nd frame. (priority -1 means everything will play over it)

Hmm.. Do you mean if i move the head at all in the animation, or just the first two frames?

If you animate the head after the first two frames you'll see it moving if theres no other animations moving your head. If what you want is for your head to just look around like it normally does I'd just suggest not animating it at all, just to avoid odd behavior heh.

edit: I just tested this, looking around uses mostly the neck joint, not the head.
