On a few occasions I have been able to get the avatar to make a fist. But generally I can't seem to vary the hands. I know that the first frame is special and that the second frame has to vary values else the priority is set to -1. I understand that the hands and facial expressions are morphed and not static. Even with just two frames and looping on the second one, I still can't make a fist or salute. I've seen animations with hands in different positions. If this isn't possible, then SL really sucks and animation in SL isn't worth the trouble. The hands and the face tell the story. I have Poser 6 to create the BVH files. I have even edited the BVH files to insert a "1" frame that is zeroed out. This still didn't help with the Hand Animation. I have tried setting the priority to four, but still no help. Can anyone tell me if there is any hope? Can this be done by scripting or coding some other way? I was so in hopes that Poser 6 would prove to be of some values. (Yes, I have SR3. That was another problem.) Many thanks in advance.

There are MANY MANY MANY threads asking this question. Even on the first page along with this post. And even the BIG RED STICKY. Sheesh.
1. You can not animate the hands or face in poser then bring them into SL 2. There are morphs you can set while uploading. In the past this would trigger at the beginning and last only a few seconds, even if the animation was longer. This is currently broken and does not trigger at all. 3. Instead of fixing the broken upload system, they are creating an IW posing thing that will include hands and facial expressions. Supposedly this will work with uploaded animations. Who knows when/if this will ever be updated. If this isn't possible, then SL really sucks and animation in SL isn't worth the trouble. The hands and the face tell the story. Incorrect. While SL often "sucks," especially animating, the hands and face are not the only things that "tell the story." There are many different animations/poses out there that are full of character and style. You just need to think outside the box. _____________________
