I bought a penis for my character/avatar today.
but when i attach it to my avatar it attaches a box or handbag instead of the penis.. what can i do to fix this?

The item you bought is inside the box. Rez it onto the ground from your inventory (you must be in a sandbox or other place that permits rezzing to do this). Then right click on the box and pick "open" from the menu. In the window that appears, click on the button to copy the contents to your inventory. You should then be able to attach it to your avatar. Enjoy!

Be glad it attached to your hands, in the day we used to go around with beach balls, bags, and boxes on our heads until someone felt sorry enough for us to help us get it off!
