How do I find a custom animator? Is there a list anywhere of people who do this on the side? I have a bunch of what seem to me ((a non-animator)) to be fairly simple animations that I'd love to get done soon. Any ideas where to look?

Rather than post a request for a list, why don't you just look for animation stores you like and then contact the animators to ask if they do custom work? That's how most of my clients find me.

And for reference, you may be in for a little sticker shock.

A list like that would be ever changing and impossible to keep up. As new animators spring up and others stop doing custom jobs.

I also agree with Johan. Do a search for animations in the find menu and start visiting shops. Anytime you find one that does the same style you are looking for, take a look at their profile to see if they have custom work info. Unless their profile says they don't do custom work, send them an IM.

The ones at the top of the traffic list are most likely too busy to take on more work. best to start at the bottom and work your way up.

What might seem simple may not be due to a number of limitations. So don't be shocked when you hear the price.
