How can I spawn objects to be used in conjunction with an animation in SL? Is the object just an invisible prim attached to the poseball that becomes visible once the poseball is used? (E.g., the "shower" that spawns with a certain sex ball.)
Also, what if the object in question has to moved once the animation starts? How do you do that?
Finally, is there a way to create a horizontal or vertical line or other "guide" in Poser? For example, if you want to "mark" where an avatar's foot is during a particular frame of a dance? Or if you want to create a wall or pole or chair or other object to dance on/around/next to? The "guides" I find in the program include horizon and other stuff, but not a pole or marker I can stick in the ground for reference.

youre gonna laugh when you see this, but if you need to mark a spot in 3d space in poser, just do like you would in SL and put a prim down

Thanks. I'd been ignoring the 'props' section of Poser, and I realized you can manipulate prims there just as easily as in SL. And there are chairs and couches and stuff too.
But I still am not sure how to spawn a prim in connection with an anim. Do people simply have an invis prim linked to the pose ball, then make the invis prim visible?

Ricky, If your meaning spawning or as most call it rezzing an object in SL from your pose ball then yes there are two ways to do this. the siplest is to toggle the objector objects invisibility. but is taxingon primalocation in land cause theobject always there just invisible till its needed by pose ball. I would think the mostefficent way to do this isto use a rezzing script in pose ball that alows you toset position in SL space. in this sence if pose ball not being used then no extra objects on land takeing up prims. and in this sence the object that is rezzed can be removed useing the die comand in script when avitar stands up. the second is best i think but little tricky to do. i would check the scripting library for rezzing scripts and also the wiki for help. hope this helped and answered your question

Just figured Id point this out too. If the object you want the animation to interact with is always there and just invisible, its easier to reposition for different sized avatars. If you have a script that rezzes it, it will be much more difficult for other users to tweak its position.
