Hi, I was wondering how many secs or mins are the normal idle animation on SL? I wanted to use an animation overider to reanimate the idle pose.

40 seconds is what franimation overriders are set for. however maximum animation length to upload is 30 seconds so i guess loop it

With MoodMixer Override, which I sell for 500L, the default is less than ten seconds but can be changed easily in the menu.

With that speed, MM is in effect an animator even if you use still poses, but short loops look great.

The important thing to remember if you design for Mood Mixer is to make ease-in and ease-out times approximately 1 second each. Less important is the fact that there is no need to go over priority 2, If you want your anim to be 100% compatible with dance machines, you can get away with priority 1, but then there's a "head_adjust" anim that SL plays every once in a while which creates a short spasm.

For those that don't know, MoodMixer is the best ao in sl and possibly the only one that isn't based on the franimation code. It's primarily a stand ao, but has the ability to do simple walk/swim replacement (and is compatible with shoes and other aos if you take their stand functions out of the config card) , creates random smiles, and replaces the typing anim (not a perfect solution but works "ok";).

The female version comes with 32 original anims/poses that are available no other way. The male version comes with 28. The maximum number of anims it can hold is unknown, (absurdly high).

The Key to Mood Mixer is the mixer console, a panel with 8 mood buttons. Each button can activate/deactivate a set of poses/anims. The 8 buttons can be mixed and matched for 255 possible combinations!
The best part is that adding anims is entirely drag and drop and basically instantaneous (don't add anims to a mood that's currently active)!!
