I downloaded the avatar mesh, i registered Daz, and all that good stuff i put the SL Avatar folder into C:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\content\Runtime\libraries\Character and it's a no go... i can't seem to get the avatar mesh to load or even to show up on the side, and it's really frustrating me... I'm on Windows Vista... could that be the problem...? >.< Or am i not reading the forums and tutorial right? >.>

I had the same problem but I don't remember exactly what I did to correct it. Try this:

Edit->Preferences->Directories
and [Add] the location of the SL meshes

Then, on the options for the [Content] tab, do a Search for Content

See if that works. If not, you can manually Import the appropriate mesh everytime until someone is able to help you better.

This looks relevant:

I'm thinking of switching to Daz Studio for my SL animating, but I just can't stop being annoyed by the bug in the camera controls with a Wacom tablet; When using my Wacom tablet to operate the camera controls, the view just flips out.
