Loop issues with QAvimator

Hi all,

I downloaded QAvimator today, and it seems to work well, but my animation won't loop. It looks right in QA, but when I upload it, it acts goofy in the preview and on my av. It is the tutorial salute from the Avimator program. I am having the same problem with that program, that's why I tried QA. So, the animation is perfect all the way through, but at the end, when it's time to loop, my av's arm jerks around, and also in the upload preview, it sort of jumps at the end and keeps looping only the very end part. I know I am new at this, but there are only so many options, so I am a little frustrated. Do I ignore frame one and leave the model in T Pose, or is that causing the loop problem? Frame 2 puts the model with arms at the sides and this pose is copied onto frame 90. Frame 30 is the salute pose and is copied onto frame 80. The instructions say to click the keyframe button on frames 2, 80, and 90. What about 30? I don't think so because that makes the anim start over at that point in the program, so I left it unclicked. After it all looks right, I save it in bvh format. When I upload it without clicking the loop button in the upload options, it works correctly, but clicking loop makes it flip out. That is fine for this particular anim, but obviously, I want to be able to loop animations too. I read on the forum about saving in between adjustments seems to make the program not recognize changes, and it's best to start over, so I did, repeatedly lol, to no avail. So what am I doing wrong between the end and the beginning? Any advice?

Thanks

Hi Pinki,

I'm not quite sure if I understand what you are trying to do, but if you just want to loop the very last frame of your animation, then yhou need to set the loop percentages on upload so that the start percentage is 99% and the end percentage is 100% - or 99.9% start maybe because your animation isn't very long.

Unfortunately you can't specify the frames to loop between and you have to just try percentage values until it looks ok.

Hope this helps.

You do need the T pose on frame 1 (it is looked for reference but otherwise it's as if it doesn't exists to SL), it's how SL knows which body parts you want to animated. ;)

So frame 2 and your last frame are 0% and 100% in the loop thingy...

Did you "copy" to frame 90 by ctrl-C from frame 2 or did you create new keys on that frame? It sounds like one of the keys isn't identical there.

 That's a new one to me, I save and readjust all the time (in QAvi), then check preview, go back and tweak, re-preview... ;)

Maybe you have a problem with a body part in a visually matching position that is numerically different?
