Poser 5 and keyframes question

I've just started learning Poser, and I'm running into something I can't figure out. Making a pose is fine. When making an animation, if I press the add keyframe button to make the new keyframe, the figure will move all over the place, lurching forward and back a long way (hard to describe)... but if I just go to the keyframe and move the figure to the desired position, without pressing the add keyframe button, the anim will run as it should. (I've uploaded the anims, and the respective results are as I viewed them in Poser.)

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong/not getting?

It sounds like you are being bitten by the interpolation. Because of the sudden change from frame 1 (the T-pose) and frame 2 (the actual start of your animation) the computer flips out. To solve this, set all the keyframes on frame 2 to Break Spline; use the Animation Palette to edit keyframes. Now Poser won't attempt to interpolate the movement from frame 1 to frame 2.

That's it, thank you. :)
