Yes, you read this correctly.

When animations first came out, I started to run around Second Life at a very quick pace and collect all the freebies that I could.

After going through them, which I am still doing, I tried to delete the duplicates and create a box of animations.

I ended up collecting a little over 210 different animations from around Second Life in a few days.

Since then I have passed out this box from time to time.

Now, I will be passing it out again. If you see me in world, please IM for a box. Please give me a day or two to try to put these animations into smaller boxes as some people have had trouble with the last box I made.

Thanks!

I am seriously sick of hearing this... I understand everyone should deserve credit for thier work...
but she is giving them out for free, she is not profiting from them...
Seems like everyone is making it harder and harder to do a good deed, and after my week I am about fed up with given away free items... its just more trouble then its worth.

lol Sensual, you obviously missed something a while back, when Deladra was saying she was sorry for not including things like that in the first pack she released.

It was a friendly reminder :P

I strongly disagree!

I would like to receive credit for the files that I uploaded. I actually keep and distribute all my free animations as a way getting people to know me, my work, and entice them to buy my products. It does upset me to see people create these free packs (usually charging $10) after scrubbing my name from them.

I'm relatively new here and have realized that community property is impossible to enforce. I've also read a sad story in the forum of a home builder who made some wonderful free houses but gave up in exasperation because he couldn't stop the resale of his homes.

I hear that retailers are tired of giving credit. However, I would state that personal exasperation is not an excuse for engaging in exploitative or selfish behavior and that as a retailer it's your responsibility to maintain a good relationship between both your suppliers and customers.

Further I would suggest that as animators, we should show respect for each other's intellectual property. After all I'm a wickedly good animator and coder and could easily duplicate any successful piece of animation or furniture out there in a couple of days, if I didn't think it was a darn rotten thing to do.

As a partial solution to the collecting of free animations without credit, I was planning to make all my animations in the future almost free with distribution restrictions.

How do you all feel about this and what solutions do you propose?

I saw all the animations! I just happened to stumble upon them sitting randomly in Sage.

I wanted to say that Deladra did keep my readme file in there. Bravo! I'm happy as a bug. Thanks Deladra.
