Posing Control?

Is there a way to control the position of an animated pose?

I have a bunch of really nice poses but when I activate them, like say one that shows me laying down... it has me floating up in the air.

Is there a way to control it or edit it, so that I can position my avatar in the spot I want for the pose? I don't want to be floating up in the air, and it doesn't matter where I stand. I once tried to make a picture of myself with my car and ended up floating in the air above the car and couldn't get my avatar to position correctly.

I've figured this out by creating my own pose ball, but I would much rather have some sort of HUD that can offer this type of control, that way I can use my poses in Sims that won't let me place out any pose balls.

Does anyone know of any other way t do this, or know of any HUD system that I should look at?

If you want to have real control over positioning, that really is going to require that you rez something. You could combine some kind of vehicle with posing to make positioning a little easier, but ultimately you need to be sitting on something to have real control. The best you might do otherwise is attempt to walk or fly into the right position, and yeah, that's going to be clumsy.

One workaround for no-build areas would be to find a nearby spot that does allow rezzing, get onto your pose thingy there, then use the edit tools to move it where you want. Restrictions like object entry are relaxed when you are already sitting on the object.
