OK I managed to make a fairly decent (IMHO) animation with poser. Only problem is my avi sinks into the ground when I use it grrr. I made poser show the ground when making it and assured I was not below it with any body parts. How far above the ground in Poser do I need to make my figure to be properly places when playing in SL? For example a sitting on ground pose.

Yes Chip. I've read that, but it left me extremly confused. I was hoping for a simple answer (if there was one). Like 'just move your figure up 3 degrees' or something to that nature. I've read her page like 3 times and each time close the window scratching my head
![]() Also Chip I just read your post on adjusting the yTrans slider for the hips. Only problem I have is I have no yTrans slider for the hips LOL. I'm using the SL model they put out for download. |

hmmm, I haven't tried using the SL mannequin for doing animation in Poser yet, but any node or object, even props, should have a Ytrans slider.

There is a dial labled "move down - up" on the hips. I'm guessing that's yTran for the hips? When I change that though it makes the feet point twords the floor. If I'm in a laying down sorta pose and I change that for the hips my legs bend twords the floor as opposed to my body just raising up in general.

Go into the figure menu and turn off "use inverse kinematics" for each leg. That will keep the feet from trying to stick to the floor when you move the body around.
