Hello.

I have some trouble getting a pose from poser 5 to Second life.
In Poser it looks good but when i move it to SL the charackter is floating quite some distance from the ground.

The secon problem is that the whole figure is turned forward.

Anyone have a idee on how to fix this.
Hope someone can help this newbie because i cant figure it out anymore.

Thank you, love you.

Hi Frozen,

These are common problems people have when creating animations. We have been working on an FAQ for New Animators. Please see /52/7b/47701/1.html#post517272/52/7b/47701/1.html#post517272. Let us know if this resource helps. You'll be our first person to use it. :D

Thank You for your reply.

I know now why the avatar seem to bend forwarth. I started the animation in frame one.
This was wrong when i changed frame 1 to the default T-pose the postion was correct.

But it still floats in the air. i understand that this is to do with the height of the avatar.
but how do i figure out how to get it right. because i dont feel like uploading 10-20 animations just to see how they turn out.

Any one has any experiance in this? LOL there must me people becasue I see great animation in the game.

Anyway Thanks in adavnced and see you all in the game.

Love you.

Hello Frozen,

:D I hear you say it with reading Pietro's great work linked No4 "OMG, my animation/pose looks great in Poser, but in SL, my av is floating/hovering above the ground, sinks into the ground, or is not flipped/rotated!". :D

Check out your hip! ;)

Hello Seagel Neville,

Thank you for your reply.

I read those posts but came to the concusion that it it seems to be a trail and error proccess. And was wondering if there were any default setting for it.

Like why is my charackter not affected by gravity. if that was the case it would simply take the pose and gravity would level it on the ground. But guess it doesnt work that way.

With pose balls it seems possible to fix this problem a little but still looking for a good solution. Guess ill do some more experiments.

Thank you, love you all

I believe seeing is believing... hmm something funny... :D
But I'm sure that is the fastest solution. Please post your Poser (pz3) file here. I'd like to see what happens.

Don't forget to archive it as zip file before uploding it here. ;)
