How to stop typing?

I have a newbie-question, and although i know how to use the search, I did not find any match. If I was not smart enough for searching, hints will be appreciated in advance ;)

When I load an animation into a poseball and sit on it, the avatar still types in chat. In some animations, at least. Ok, I have read so far that this has something to do with the priority level of the animation, which has been set on upload.

My question is: can I use for example slat and make a "do nothing" animation with a higher priority then the loaded animation, place them both in a poseball and make it stop typing that way?

Or do I approach that wrong? If i am right, how do I do that? clearing all "joints to peturb" in SL is not the way it works ;) Is there a smart way to combine a "do not type" and any other lower leveled animation?

Thanks in advance for any help

What you need to do (I think) is to create an animation where the chest, shoulders, upper arms, forearms and hands are all moved slightly (or to weherever you need them to be), and all other joints are exactly as in the defailt pose. Upload this animation at priority 3. That will lock the parts used in the typing animation and leave all other joints free to be over-ridden. You then need a poseball script that will load your original animation followed by the one you've just created.

I think that will do the trick.

/me waits to be shown the error of her ways :(.

Thank you for the answer
But if I get that right, I have to make an animation for each pose for the part, which has to be "no type" where i exactly copy the existing pose regarding the arms?
So, 10 poses to override means also 10 "no typing poses" with same position for the arms?

Hi Nanda! It seems many are working on similar things :)

Look at this thread.

In your case you just have to stop the animation. I need a similar functionality, I'll probably test it tonight and will let you know.
