Problem crossing hands along X-axis

hi folks. okay i am only aobut a month old to animating, but am taking fairly well to it, using Poser 6. i have encountered a problem which is baffling me.

i assume this is an issue of whatever tweaking SL does to a BVH file when it analyzes it before upload. but the problem is this:

i am tring to bring my avatar's hand Together, in front of him, with the PALMS facing DOWN (toward the ground), not dissimilar to how a fancy chap would prop himself up on a cane in front of him, or imagine grasping a helium balloon underneath your two hands, right in front of you.. waist level, with the hand brought together so that they are touching each other (the top/insides of the thumbs touching.)

it WILL NOT WORK. no matter what i do, when i upload to SL, it resets the hands to about hip width. i have tried a number of workarounds to try to pin down the problem. IK on, IK off; Joint Limits on, and off; standing, sitting; adjusting the collar's up/down-back/front to raise the hand positionup to chest level... rotating the hips or center of mass. NOTHING.

now, i dont think this is an issue of simply some sort of limit that the hand part cannot cross in front, as i have seen plenty other animations where this occurs.. the Clap/applause, or the muscle show-off animation... so i am perplexed as to why this wont work. is it because i want the palms to face DOWN (as those examples i mentioned the hands are together, palms touching and facing towards the opposite side, not the ground)??

im really hitting a roadblock here. does anyone have any tips, or bug-issues i may not know of? or is there something totally basic (or intricate) i am simply overlooking?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

What priority are you assigning to it when you upload?

well, although i admit i dont really know what it does, i coulda swore i read somewhere to in most cases assign 4. i'll try it with different settings.

what, if y ou have a brief moment, does that priority actually refer to and affect?

thanks in advance. . .

1. Did you leave the first frame as the default T pose?

2. Did you move each part of the arms in frame 2? Collar, shoulder, and forarm?

3. Which priority did you set it at? A pose at priority 2 will override the default SL standing pose yet allow gestures like the typing to run through. Something at priority 4 will not allow anything else to override it.

As for having an animation where the palms are face down and in front of the avie is possible, since I have made one.
