I know its possible to animate legs in an AO...as I have seen some really sexy walks.
However when I make animations for full body movement and put it in one of the free AO's (have tried several) it only animates the top half of the body. When you start walking forward the legs go back to default, just the hands and head move around. How can I fix this so it animates everything?

The ghosts named default animations always get into our AVs in-world. Thanks to those, however, our AVs can do animations, such as sitting, walking, typing and so on in default when you do something. And all animations have their own priorities. If two animations fires together at the same time, like a kick action with sitting, the high priority animations overcome the lower one.
I've heard AO does replace animations, that is, stopping the default animations and firing the setting ones. But it depens on the kind of AOs. Obviously, your animations are fighting with the default animations.
If you'd like to fix it in your animations, you need to set the priority highest, 4. See this thread. And note that the priority effects parts you moved even at least slightly and made keyframes. It must be the reason why your hands and head had the trouble. See also this article.

Hope this helps you.
