I am often asked for poses and animations with different hand positions from those available on upload in SL - e.g., having both hands in a "peace" position or making "devil's horns".
Does anyone know of any method of achieving more than the defaul;t pre-sets on offer with the standard viewer upload window?

I'm afraid that it's built in deeper than the animation conversions, SL skeletons just have hand bones. It would take a revised mesh with more hand morphs rolled in, and then only viewers with that new mesh would be able to see the changes.

You can see all the other hand positions in the standard set of gestures in the drop down list in the animation load window - but not the scissors one.

Yep, there is lots of creative recycling like that. Pre-2004 gadgets can be fun to pull apart, just to see what people managed to do with only the built in stuff.

Yes - well I guess that can make "2 -fingers" - shame it's only available on the one hand ....maybe you could have one devil's horn?

I've made HUD controlled fingers for both hands. I've a second version that does random positions on a loop. 'll send you a box next time i'm in world.
