Need Help With Skins And Clothing Please

could anyone tell mw how to correctly use a skin and some clothing that i purchased in the game....when i select the option to wear them they are just giant square images of them that attatch to me....i hate being such a NOOB....so any help i would appreciate

Hi Vicous. You've purchased some items that are sold in a box, so when you try to wear them you're wearing the box instead. Don't feel bad. Everyone does it when they first start, and I do mean everyone

What you need to do is get the contents out of the box and into your inventory. Get yourself to some land where building is allowed so you can rez the boxes on the ground (drag them out of your inventory onto the ground in front of you).

Once you have the box sitting on the ground, right click on it and select "edit" from the pie menu. This will open up the object edit panel. Click the "more" button on the bottom of the panel to expand it. Then click the "contents" tab to view the contents of the box. Drag the contents from the list over to your inventory and drop them there (you'll need your inventory window open too).

Once they're in your inventory you can right click and choose "wear", or drag and drop onto your avatar, or double click the item in inventory. If you have trouble just ask someone to talk you through it
