Still traces of SL's default "animations" in poses

Hello, I seem to experience this problem randomly, and only when I use non-animated stands/sits/etc. When I install some custom poses into AOs, and then set them as stands, there are still traces of SL's freaky default animations visible. For example, my avatar's body, including legs, would be using the custom stand, however her head still keeps looking around like an idiot, which is the SL default "animation". Is there anyway to completely get rid of that? My avatar's stands look so horrible with that twitching motion.
Thanks!

The head movement isn't strictly an animation, but if you lock the head position with a priority 4 animation you'll stop it.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean.
I meant a custom animation that I didn't create, and therefore cannot set its priority. Also priority shouldn't be an issue, since the problem occurs randomly. Sometimes my avatar's head wouldn't twitch.

there isn;t really a way that you can fix it if it is someone else's animation... you could wear a second AO of sorts that restarts a head-locking animation everytime an anim is launched (or that anim)... the fault lies with the creator of that animation - or perhaps your choice of that animation where another would have suited your purpose

What is happening is that the creator of the animation created it as a priority 1 stand. At this priority, the avatar will respond to mouse clicks and also respond to people walking by or some1 chatting with you. It can go into these twitching fits tho on occassion. Simply, contact the creator and ask if they could upload you a priority 2 version. You do not want your stands to be priority 4's, atleast in my opinion, because this ruins using the ao with anything else.

Some people like the head to be free in AOs so that they'll look where the mouse clicks, it's a stylistic judgement call.

Also, the priority isn't the only or even main issue here. I mean, as others have noted for you to get this corrected in a purchased animation you will need to contact the animator. For any animators reading however, note that priority only applies to joints with keyframes on them. SL only pays attention to joints with keyframes on them, a fact that is both highly useful but frustratingly subtle for newcomers.

What I mean is that if you never touch the neck in Poser then it will not be locked in SL. It doesn't matter what priority the animation is set to if the neck doesn't have keyframes.

Completely no, but if you press Alt and left click mouse somewhere there head will stop moving for some time. To look straight press Alt and click on your avatar's tummy.
