no backward walk in animation overrides?

I'm almost done with my first AO set and I have a question about the animations I need to make. As far as I can tell the AO only has a slot for walking forward, not backward. Is that correct or am I just missing something? If I can I'd like to override both directions, but it doesn't look like the AOs available support that.

SL does not appear to support walking backwards, it just turns you around. Other than animatring a "backwards" forward walk I don't think there are any options.

It is possible, but no, there are no AOs that do it.

I've incorporated a short "walking backwards" animation within a dance sequence I'm working on. I have no idea, however, if it can be looped into a longer sequence, but I should imagine there is a way to do this. I shall look into this myself, it's an interesting question. Someone may well have done this already, though.

ZHAO walks backwards automatically, very nice effect.

if i remember, stopping the LL walk animation before playing your own will make the avatar turn itself in the direction of the movement

so if you walk backward, your av will turn 180° and walk

you can see it applied in my opensource AO code in the script library & yadni's junkyard
