Animation makes me sit to low in the ground..

There's a similair thread to this one, but in the other one the person made the animation himself, my case is a bit different.

I bought a sit animation (not an AO just a single animation) but when I play it It makes me sit way to low to the ground and I go through it...how can I fix this? I read something about changing the Y axis or something on the other topic...but how do I find this bhv file thing? the animation is only no transfer so I should be able to edit it

Hi Lilly, so it's just a naked animation you say? A ground sit, I take it? And you start it manually while actually sitting on the ground? In that case, it makes sense that it should sit a bit too low because it's probably meant to be used in an AO, and most AOs tend to play sit animations a little higher than the default sits. Try using it with an AO and see whether that fixes it. If not (and if using a poseball isn't an option for you) there's not much you can do except contacting the creator.

Unfortunately, you can't edit animations directly, even if they are set to mod. You need the bvh file, and that sits on the creator's hard disk.

I just click "show in world" or "play locally" (something like that) to play it, it's so I can sit with a specific look. I'l try it with an AO then..thanks

now that I think about it (and this may be a very basic question) how do I just "sit" where I am standing? I normally right click an object and "sit here" to sit, or use an animation.
But if I want to just sit on the ground so my current AO's animation takes affect..how do I simply sit where Im standing?

for myself i made a hud button that plays a sit anim where ever im standing

Right-click on the ground and choose sit! But that only works outside of buildings, on the "real" ground.
