Learning Poser

I am finally going to do something with my copy of Poser 6 that I bought to learn animations and opened up exactly once...

I want to start with making some basic furniture poses, nothing fancy. I know there are some supplied poses that come with Poser and I've seen these all over SL. If I want to use these as a starting point and build on them, can I just use the supplied poses or do I need to start blank with an SL av?

Thanks!

I assume the supplied poses will work just fine if you use them on an SL av, but why not just try it? That'd me more efficient for you than asking the question.
